Kicking the Football by Bill Renner
Kicking the Football by Bill Renner
Kicking the Football is a very good guide that gives you all the steps on how to be a wonderful kicker. Also it grabs you and makes you want to speed through the pages and get just to the drills and the place kicking section. The book also guides you through a great journey to be the best kicker you can. It brings you all the info and drills you can use to practice and get better. Even though you may think it is boring at the beginning, this great book will help you. Finally, the more drills you practice, the better you will improve.

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz

~Tyler S., 7th Grade, Homewood Middle School
I read the book Stormbreaker. This book has seat-rising action that glues your eyes to the book. Alex finds out in the middle of the night that his uncle died in a car accident, according to the police. He grows suspicion that this is not true. he went to the junkyard nearest to the street that he died. He found his uncle's car with bullet holes. This means it was not an accident. He almost dies trying to find out about what happened. He later discovers a secret that few people knew. He gets involved in dangerous groups of people trying to find the secret of his uncle's life. I would highly recommend this book to people who like action, myster, and realistic fiction.

I read Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. It is the first book in the series of Alex Rider adventures. It is a great book. Alex goes through hard times when his uncle dies in a car wreck but Alex thinks that people are lying about the way his uncle died. He always wore his seatbelt wherever he went. You will like this book if you like great books.

Vamps by Nancy A. Collins
Lilith Todd is the "It" girl of the supernatural world. Her rich and powerful Old Blood father gives her whatever she wants, her promised, Jules, will make her a Countess when they are bound, and she already rules the world of fashion and popularity. One night while out slumming she runs into Cally, a New Blood who challenges Lilith in a fight over a potential victim. The Newbie turns out to be a Stormgatherer, but Lilith would still have beaten her if not for the sudden appearance of Van Helsings. The VH's stake Lilith's friend, but the rest of the vampires manage to get away. Lilith blames the Newbie and vows to kill her if she ever sees her again. It might be easier than she expected. When Monday rolls around Lilith finds that Cally has transferred to Lilith's prestigious school, Bathory Academy. Though the Academy is a vendetta-free zone, Lilith's won't let a little thing like the rules stand in her way.
This book started out as Gossip Girls meets vampires, with constant brand name dropping, underage partying and references to amorous adventures. But the tone quickly changed when Cally appeared, and the plot's pacing picked up. The story that unfolded was interesting and different from most of the vampire fiction on the shelves. I can't wait to see what happens in book two!
